With the release of this helpline number, people in the country will no longer have to wander around to register complaints.
A complaint will be lodged by dialing the helpline number 14422 or sending a message. With this, the police and service provider company will be engaged in the search of mobile.

Report a complaint
The first major step when a phone is stolen to report the theft of it to the nearest police station.
Note:- Before going to the police station take your phone IMEI number along with ownership proof.
Inform your service provider
After accomplishing the police report (FIR) call your service provider ( company of your sim) and inform them about the theft of phone and asked to lock your number so that there is less chance of your number being misused.
Note:- later you can get a duplicate sim of your stolen number on the copy of the police complaint via. FIR so there’s nothing to worry about it
Block the IMEI number
