How to choose best mobile camera

How to choose best mobile camera??.  Since Mobile Camera has come, it has changed Digital Photography.  Modern smartphone cameras not only compete with DSLR in many cases, it is also becoming our main Primary Camera.  Smartphone Camera comes with many Fully Loaded Specifications, let’s try to understand in this article what is MOBILE CAMERA PHOTOGRAPHY and how to choose best mobile camera?

What is MOBILE CAMERA PHOTOGRAPHY?  And how to choose best mobile camera?

In Mobile Camera Photography we convert photons (Light) into electrons (images) with the help of Image Signal Processor.

IMAGE SIGNAL PROCESSOR

Image Signal Processor is part of the Smartphone Chipset (Processor) which gives us the Full Developed Image by processing the Raw Image taken by us from the software of our smartphone and the Conjunction of the OS with additional Enhancement and Effect.  Image Signal Processor does the most important job in improving the picture quality of our Smartphone Camera, so compare it at the time of selection of mobile camera.

MEGAPIXELS

To understand what is megapixels, first we understand pixel, pixel is a single dot which is made of red green and blue (RGB) color, we get Millions of colors from these three colors.  The best example of a pixel is the old color TV of our house, if you look at its display closely, you will see Individual Red, Green and Blue Dot is the same dots pixel.  However, in today’s Modern Led and Oled Tv, you do not see this dot with normal eyes, because in modern display, Millions of Pixel is the only place where we get Crispier and more natural images.

Megapixels (MP) refers to the number of pixels in the image, where mega means Million (1 Million = 10 Lakh).  If there is an 8 MP camera, it means that the camera’s image sensor is made of 8 Million (8 million) pixels.

APERTURE

Aperture is also called the opening of the lens which decides how much light your lens will get, the smaller the size of the aperture, the more light the lens will get.  For example F / 1.2> F / 2.1.

ELECTRONIC IMAGE STABILIZATION (EIS) / OPTICAL IMAGE STABILIZATION

Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) / Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) reduces the effects of your camera shake, giving you stable, smooth and sharp video or images.

Although the work of both is similar to one, you will get Electronic Image Stabilization as software, and Optical Image Stabilization as hardware.  Due to which optical image stabilization is a bit expensive, if you want to do normal photography, you can get a camera with electronic image stabilization without any problems, which gives you very good stabilization.

AUTO-FOCUS

Depending on which angle the electron comes from reflecting an object, it depends on the distance of the object and lens.  If our Camera is Auto-Focus, then it automatically adjusts itself to create Focus.  Auto-Focus not only improves your image quality, but also helps you in shooting Close Object which we nowadays call Micro Mode, Micro Shooting is not possible without Auto-Focus.

TYPES OF AUTO FOCUS

There are two types of Auto-Focus used in Mobile Camera.

  1.  Phase Detection Auto-Focus (PDAF)
  2. Laser Auto Focus

PHASE DETECTION AUTO-FOCUS (PDAF)

Phase Detection Auto-Focus This is a new and very effective technique to focus which is available in the mid-range and Flagship Ranges smartphones.  Phase Detection Autofocus is designed to mimic the movement of our eyes, primarily by splitting the image in two and synchronizing it to improve picture quality.

PROS

PDAF performs faster and Accurate than CDAF

CONS

Its performance is weak in low lighting

LASER AUTO-FOCUS

In laser auto-focus, the camera’s sensors are made with a laser transmitter and receiver, so that it auto-adjusts the focus by calculating the distance between the phone and subject to the travel time of the laser.

PROS

It works very fast and Accurate with PDAF and CDAF
This is very perfect for low lighting photography

CONS

It cannot be used for long distance photography

HIGH DYNAMIC RANGE (HDR)

High Dynamic Range is used to add more dynamic range to your image.  Where Normal mode captures a picture in a bar, the same High Dynamic Range mode clicks on three different images in a bar, which is displayed to us after being combined into an ISP, which is Perfectly Balanced.

PANORAMA

In Panorama mode, the Camera Stack Sari displays a panoramic view to us by clicking the photo and stitching a corner that resembles its corner matching algorithm.
